Christine Coffman is pleased to have her limited series greeting card line ready for orders. The greeting cards are blank inside (except for the logo) so they will be versatile enough to use on any occasion. The cards available will be constantly changing as each card face will have a limited run of 500.
While Hugh will remain a constant presence, his friends and fellow Butternut Bears used on the greeting cards will change as different poses are required for new ideas. This series of cards will be created with no respect for reality. Sometimes Hugh will be a bear living within his imagination and his stature will be irrelevant. Sometimes he or his friends will delve into the classics for their ideas. Sometimes there will be a subtle jest behind the image, much like Hugh N. Butternut's own name; hewn wood is wood cut with an ax, and Butternut is the species of tree used in the carvings.
Many cards will include Hugh's and his friend's collections.
Collectors of art, stamps, marbles, sewing machines, thimbles,
rocks, eggs, and scores of other eclectic items, it appears that
Hugh and his friends seem to like to collect just about everything.
Whatever seems to amuse Hugh and his friends could eventually appear
in the greeting card line.
For this, the debut of the greeting card line, the four cards
available will be diverse in subject matter.
BEAR IN AWE We have one of Hugh's relatives admiring a carving of Baby Jesus. |
TEA PARTY This card shows one of Hugh's relatives throwing a tea party. |
YES…..THEY DO This card answers the age old question of bears' habits in the woods. |
BEAR QUARTET This card shows a more refined side of the inhabitants of Hugh N. Butternut's world. These four bears form a bear quartet using the instruments from one of Hugh's all-embracing collections. This card also marks Hugh's first appearance on his own card line. He is the shy bear standing next to the harp. |
